Capital Refractories supply a range of thermocouple probes for the repeat measurement of
molten metal temperatures. For best results the thermocouples should be used in areas where
there is no slag or it can be easily removed. The probe is enclosed in a glass sleeve at the end
of a reinforced cardboard tube, which in turn is protected by an insulating non-splash ceramic
cover. The design prevents heat spreading to the internal connector of the thermocouple
probe.
