| IN01 cored wire is used for the inoculation of as well as ductile or gray iron.
This CW inoculant will effectively control chill in ductile irons, compacted graphite iron and gray iron of 0.04% base sulphur and above. It contains zirconium and manganese to also protect castings from dissolved nitrogen and to ensure a fast dissolution.
Rare Earths addition give benefits to counteract effects of poisonous elements (lead, bismuth..) They also allow to keep residual Mg at low values to minimise (cancel) shrinkage and pin holes.
