WORLD IRON AND STEEL PRODUCTION TREND |

Asia and China dominated both of steel and iron production, the iron that produce by the blastfurnace, where Asia’s production could be counted for 74% of world production, which the production belong to China 78%. The production trend in Asia has simultaneously increased since 2002. The crude steel is also the same, where Asia’s production has the portion of 65% world total production. China covered 70% among Asian production.
However, even the biggest steel producer is ArcelorMittal who could produce 98.2 mmt in year 2011 but there are many of Chinese steel producers among the top ten of world producer.
