Better quality of Casting

In fact we have supplied this product which the pure coal to several major customers and it works very well. Some customers want a greater release of volatile and this product fits the bill. We developed the graded coal by blended with Lustrous carbon and Graphite to improve the quality up to the premium grade, the better casting surface finished and less of sand carry over etc. all better quality of green sand can be achieve by Supercast graded coal (please see the compare of coal dust characteristics in the below table)

Supecast Graded Coal

·         Moisture 5.5% (2 to 8% max)

·         Ash 2.8% (5% max)

·         Volatile 42% (38 to 44%)

·         Fixed Carbon (100 minus (Moisture+Ash+Volatile) = 51%

·         Swell Index 1.5

·         Total Carbon 78%

·         Sulphur 0.6%

The main difference with Supercast compared to current Pure Coal is the moisture, but this is offset by the much higher volatile

The advantages of Supercast

·         Addition of Graphite to Coal gives added lubrication to the sand system

·         Addition of Graphite helps the Bentonite and allows the sand to flow and compact easily ie less friction

·         Addition of Lustrous Carbon increases the volatile release resulting in cleaner castings

·         Low ash in product does not compete against bentonite for water

·         High volatile for smoother castings and better sand / metal separation at shake out

·         High Total Carbon coupled with a lower Sulphur content.

·         Available in grades 100, 145 and 190

·         Available in Polybags and 25 kg bags
